BURL'S CREEK REFUND AND THE MOLSON AMPHITHEATRE FAQ

This FAQ section is for everyone who already has tickets purchased for Burl's Creek Park and want info on exchanging them for The Molson Amphitheatre tickets or getting a refund. If you're looking to buy tickets, click here.

#1 If you already have General Admission tickets for Burl's Creek

If you have questions about refunds, go down to #3.


The easiest way to get to the Festival is to enter through Ontario Place. If you enter through the CNE you'll have to pay to get a $15 entrance voucher into the exhibition grounds, which you'll be reimbursed for before you enter the Festival. So if you want to enter through the CNE, be sure to have some cash to buy the voucher.


Bring your General Admission Burl's Creek tickets to The Ticket Exchange Tent at The Molson Amphitheatre. It's located at the front gates of Ontario Place before you head in to The Molson Amphitheatre and will be open from 10am until 10pm on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th.


When you exchange your old tickets, you can choose between unassigned 200 level seats or 100 level floor access. If you have a weekend pass you can exchange it for both days on Saturday the 29th. If you have a one-day ticket, you can only exchange it for the same day that the ticket is for. (ex: you can't exchange a Saturday ticket for a Sunday ticket.)


To get access to the 100 level, you'll need to take your ticket and get a wristband from the usher at the entrance to the floor. The wristbands are first come first served and apply to that day only, so if you want to be right up front be sure to show up early to make sure you get a wristband. If all the 100 level wristbands are taken by the time you get to the Festival, your tickets will be good for 200 level seats.


The 200 level seats are all unassigned. That means they're just like a patch of grass at other Festivals - if you leave your patch of grass, you might not get it back. You'll still be guaranteed a seat in the 200 level, but if you leave it and don't have a friend reserving it, you might not get the same seat back.



#2 If you have purchased VIP tickets for Burl's Creek

If you have questions about refunds, go to #3.

So if you want to enter through the CNE, be sure to have some cash to buy the voucher.


Bring your VIP Burl's Creek tickets to The Ticket Exchange Tent at The Molson Amphitheatre. It's located at the front gates of Ontario Place before you head in to the Molson Amphitheatre and will be open from 10am on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th.


Then head over to the VIP Ticket Holder Tent. You'll be given assigned seats at the very front of the 200 level. These are the best seats in the house and are yours for the day.


If you want a 100 level floor ticket, then you can exchange your 200 level assigned seats. Your 200 level seats are pretty sweet, but if you really want to get down and dirty then email festival@virginmobile.ca before 5pm on August 27th to switch to 100 level floor tickets.


Virgin Festival Ontario will now have two (count 'em, two!) Louder Lounges. You can go back and forth from your assigned seat to the Louder Lounges as much as you want.


Food tickets, smaller line-ups, merch coupons and all those other VIP perks stay totally the same.



#3 Refund Info

Ticketmaster Refunds

Ticketmaster refunds are available at point of purchase until 6pm EST on Friday August 28th. This is to make sure that tickets don't get scalped and that people don't try to refund their tickets after going to the Festival.


If you bought your ticket from Ticketmaster online or over the phone...

If you bought your ticket online or over the phone, you can return your ticket in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or you can mail your ticket back to Ticketmaster. You'll need to exchange your ticket in person or make sure they receive the ticket before 6pm EST on Friday August 28th.


If your ticket is still in the mail and is received after that date, you won't be able to get a refund. Based on your distance from the Ticketmaster Toronto office, you might want to look into courier or express mail to make sure that itls received on time.

As long as your tickets are received by Ticketmaster before 6pm EST on Friday August 28th, they'll process a refund for the ticket price and all convenience charges back to your credit card minus any courier or Ticketfast fees.


Write "VOID" on the front of your tickets in ink. It might also be a good idea to make a photocopy of them for your records.


Along with the tickets, include:


  • a small note saying you're refunding them because of the Virgin Festival Ontario venue change
  • your confirmation number
  • the last name used to buy the tickets

If you're in the Toronto area, you can also exchange your tickets in person at the Rogers Centre, Gate 7. This location is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm.


If you bought your ticket from Ticketmaster in person...

If you bought your ticket in person, you can only exchange it in person at the same Ticketmaster outlet where you bought it. You won't be able to mail it to Ticketmaster.


It's a good idea to call Ticketmaster before heading over to make sure that someone will be able to help you when you get there. Call Ticketmaster at 1.416.870.8000.



Future Shop Refunds

If you're you bought your ticket through Future Shop you have two choices:


  1. Head to the Future Shop in Barrie or Orillia by Friday 21 August, 2009 for a refund. It's a good idea to call the store before heading over to make sure that someone will be able to help you when you get there.
  2. Send your unused, complete ticket in for a refund to Future Shop to arrive no later than Friday 21 August, 2009. If Future Shop do not get the intact, unused ticket you won't get a refund. No exceptions.


    You must also include your full contact information (name, address, telephone number) and web order number - write it on a piece of paper and include with the tickets.

    Normal refund processing times apply (3+ business days once they have received them). Shipping & handling is not refundable.

Camping Ticket Refunds

All requests for camping ticket refunds need to be received before 6pm EST on August 28th.


Just a heads-up that your camping ticket is separate from your Festival ticket, and so there are two separate refund processes. For ticket refunds, go to #1 for General Admission tickets and #2 for VIP tickets.


If you bought your ticket online or over the phone your refund for the price of the camping ticket will be automatically put back on your credit card.


If you bought your camping ticket in person you'll need to head back to the point of purchase to get your refund.



#4 Other FAQs

If you've purchased a weekend pass for Burl's Creek you can't exchange a ticket for one day and have the other day refunded. If you're interested in coming to only one day of the Festival, you'll need to refund your weekend pass ticket and then purchase a new ticket for the day you want to come.


With your Virgin Festival Ontario ticket you also get access to the CNE and Ontario Place for the same day as your ticket. When you leave the Festival youlll get a wristband giving you re-entry from the CNE or Ontario Place back into the Festival.


Children two years of age and under don't need a ticket to enter Virgin Festival as long as they donlt need a seat. Children three years of age and up will need a separate ticket.


If you own a box at the Molson Amphitheatre you'll receive tickets to your box for both days of the Festival and will have access to the Amex VIP Lounge and in-seat service. You won't have access to the 100 level floor ot 200 level seats.
