  • FOOD AND DRINK
    Virgin Festival is home to a wide array of food vendors covering festival staples (burgers, etc) to delicious and exotic ethnic foods. Beverages from water to beer and other spirits can be purchased on site.

    The legal drinking age in Nova Scotia is 19 years old. If you are planning on consuming alcohol at the festival, please bring two (2) valid pieces of ID and be sure to drink responsibly.

    Virgin Festival goers may bring a clear plastic sealed water bottle with them on site, and water refill stations will be provided. Festival goers may be asked to empty their bottle before entering the festival. No alcohol may be brought from outside of the festival.
  • AGE RESTRICTIONS
    Virgin is an all-ages event. Children aged 4 years and younger are admitted for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid Virgin Festival ticket.

  • I HEAR THAT THERE IS A CHARITABLE ANGLE TO THE CONCERT. WHERE IS THE MONEY FOR CHARITY GOING?

  • CAN I ENTER AND RE-ENTER THE FESTIVAL SITE?
    Once you're there, you're not going to want to leave the fun. Seriously though, once you leave there will be no re-entry due to access control and security issues.
  • WHERE WILL MY RIDE PICK ME UP?
    There is no designated drop off/pick up area, but there are well lit spots outside the main festival site.
  • WHAT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE FOR MUSIC LOVERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS?
    For those with special needs, we will provide toilets and a dedicated viewing area for the main stage.
  • I HAVE A SPECIAL DIET. WHAT IS THE FOOD SITUATION?
    There will be numerous food vender options available that will cover vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections. You are, however, permitted to bring a small amount of food in a soft container for those special cravings.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I RUN OUT OF CASH?
    That's what rich friends are for. But if you don't have any, we've got ATMs onsite.
  • ARE MINORS ALLOWED TO ATTEND VIRGIN FESTIVAL?
    All ages will be allowed to rock. Children 4 and under are admitted free but MUST be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
  • WHAT TIME WILL MY FAVOURITE BAND TAKE THE STAGE?
    Please visit www.virginfestival.ca a week before the event, for the full set times listing. Gates will open at 1pm each day.
  • I'M AN AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER. HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING MY CAMERA INTO THE SHOW?
    Only accredited media will be allowed professional cameras.
  • CAN I BRING MY CAR?
    We recommend taking public transport to Virgin Festival, but if you must travel to Virgin Festival by car please be sure to carpool. Driving directions and parking information can be found here: http://www.pc.gc.ca/lhn-nhs/ns/halifax/visit/visit2_e.asp
  • WHERE CAN I STAY IN HALIFAX?

  • IS THERE CAMPING AT CITADEL HILL?
    No.
  • WHAT TIME DOES THE HEADLINER PLAY?
    A full schedule of artist set times will be available on this site in the weeks prior to the festival
  • WHAT TIME DO THE BANDS START/END?
    Doors open at 1:00pm with performances beginning at 2:00pm. Performances end at 11:00pm.
  • CAN I BRING MY CAMERA?
    Detachable lens cameras will not be permitted onsite. All other non-professional cameras will be permitted.
  • CAN I BRING MY CHILD?
    Virgin Festival is an all-ages event. Children aged 4 years and younger are admitted for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Please note that there are no daycare facilities.
